Steph has been practicing for 7 years, starting her journey with Iyengar yoga & then discovered ashtanga yoga in 2009 upon moving to Newcastle upon Tyne and been committed to the ashtanga system as a result.
Steph completed Brain Cooper's 200-hour teacher training course in 2010 and has been teaching since. She has continued her dedication to the practice via studies with Nancy Gilgoff as well as Brian Cooper's 500-hour teacher training course.
Steph is studying at Newcastle University and has devoted her Master's dissertation topic to the study of teaching and learning in ashtanga yoga, which will be completed and available for reading later 2011.
Her aspirations are akin to most practitioners: to be able to have free time to practice and to learn with inspiring teachers and hopefully keep raising the standards to yoga in the West.
